| Poem by William Mullins |
| The doors are open, they are open wide, everyone is welcome, come on inside. The church is packed I'm happy to say, the treasurer will have a big payday. The Minister comes and takes his place, he looks up and down, he knows every face. He smiles and say's "I see some new faces today, welcome to our church, let everyone pray." His sermon is long, and listening is a treat, but Alas! One man has fallen asleep. The Minister is at the door and saying goodbye. The man who fell asleep says "I'm sorry with a sigh." The Minister says "Go home and enjoy your day, your intentions were good and you came to pray." "The Lord watches over you this holy day." |
