| Knox Presbyterian Church started in 1872 and was organized by The Newark Presbytery on November 30, 1881. The session of Knox, with the permission of the Presbytery of Newark, voted in December 1998 to develop a Portuguese/Brazilian Evangelism program to better serve members of the community. The Knox Presbyterian Church, founded to serve immigrants in the celebration and service of the Christian faith, continues to serve immigrants to the United States who have settled in the Kearny-Harrison-East Newark and surrounding area. Praise God! |
